Martin Luther was born in Eisleben, County of Mansfeld, Saxony (Germany). He became a German theologian, professor of theology, composer, priest, and monk. He is best known for sparking the Protestant Reformation when he penned his Ninety-Five Theses taking objection to certain Catholic beliefs and traditions in 1517.
