Happy Father’s Day 2020

Happy Father’s Day 2020

Father’s Day Wishes

Father’s Day 2020. If you are a dad, I wish you a Happy Father’s Day, and I pray you and your kids have been able to make the happiest of memories together today.

Celebrate our good dads

Though most of my readers are women, we all have a connection to Father’s Day because we all had or have a father. If you have a good dad, I hope you are celebrating him and giving him the best gifts of your time and attention.

Sympathies to those whose dads have gone home

For those of us who have lost our dad, I offer my sincerest condolences. Some of us, including a dear high school classmate of mine, are experiencing our first Father’s Day without our dad because he went Home this past year. I hope each of you can be comforted knowing you and your dad will be reunited.

Greatest sympathies to those who didn’t have a (great) dad

Perhaps my heart feels the greatest sympathy for those of you who don’t or didn’t have a great dad. Father’s Day can be a challenging day filled with the question of why we didn’t have a great dad — like everyone else did — or at least it feels like everyone else did.

God Himself is Father of the fatherless

If you don’t or didn’t have a great dad or your dad has gone Home, I invite you to meditate on Psalm 68:5. It says that God, in His holy habitation, is a Father of the fatherless. The Psalmist tells us that in our earthly father’s absence, God Himself steps in and is a Father to us. He is the best dad anyone could ever hope to have.

Let us all pray and get to know our Heavenly Father better

Whatever our father-child situation is this Father’s Day, I pray that we will all pause our busyness and take time to pray and get to know our Heavenly Dad better.

Pray now

Have you prayed yet today? Now is a good time. Let’s thank our Heavenly Father for being a great Dad, for loving us so much, and for all the ways He has blessed us.

ruiz.blanca75@yahoo.com dear Robyn love your page I struggled praying n reading the bible there’s so much things going on in my life. I talk to the father I read the bible but not fervent like I should. I lost a daughter she was murdered. I have my husband very sick. Has a diseased incurable. He’s deteriorating in from of my eyes I feel useless. My mind is constantly in what I am going thru. N more. So you’re right I need to be more strong in reading the word of God n talking to him. Please pray for me please that I become a fervently loyal Christian to be obedient in God words. God bless you.

    1. Dear Blanca, I am sorry I am slow to respond to your comment. Early on in my blog, I didn’t have comments, and I became lax about checking for them. I am glad you wrote. I am so very sorry for your very difficult and sad situation. I am sorry for your loss of your daughter and in such a bad way. Being a caregiver for your husband when you are mourning the loss of your daughter is very demanding. Please do not be too hard on yourself. Know that God loves you, and Jesus loves you in spite of all the evil and sickness in the world. I will pray for you. Please write, and let me know how you are doing. It also helps me remember you if you tell me what state or country you live in. Thank you again for your comment. You are NOT useless. You are facing very difficult times. If you can find a little time to read your Bible, you may want to read the book of Job in the old testament just before Psalm — pretty much in the center of the Bible — and the gospel of John in the new testament because it is very encouraging. Praying for you, Blanca. Robyn
