God’s Got a Plan
God’s Got a Plan
As we head into the next few days, none of us have a crystal ball. We do not know our future. The days ahead may be one big non-event, or they may be cataclysmic, but whatever they are, pray . . . pray . . . and then pray some more.
As we look ahead and as we live the days ahead, let us all remember that, whatever happens, God is still in control, and God has a plan. Even if it seems our world has been turned upside down . . . God has a plan.
We may like His plan. We may not like His plan, but He has a plan.
When Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, God had a plan. Jesus apparently didn’t like the plan because He prayed and asked His Father, “Dad, if it’s possible, let’s do this a different way, but if it isn’t possible, then I choose to do it your way instead of mine.” (Matthew 26:39).
God had a plan, and Jesus’s prayer didn’t change His plan, but God’s plan was perfect. In the midst of the anguish and bleakness of His plan, wonderful, miraculous, life-giving events were were being put in place.
Today, and over the next few days, and for all eternity, God has a plan. So, let us pray our hearts out to God and make our requests known, and then, like Jesus, let us pray for God’s will, and not our own to be done. Let us pray, and let us leave everything in God’s hands, and let us trust Him for everything.
My last post was about how our prayers can influence and change the heart of God. Today’s post is about how even Jesus’s prayer did not change God’s plan.
We can be ever so glad that we are not responsible for how God answers our prayer. Our part is simply to pray.
So, let us get on our knees, dear Readers, and let us pray, and then let us neither fret nor worry, but rather let us trust Him for the outcome.
Blessings,
Robyn
