Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled

Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled

Let us not worry.

“Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled.” John 14:1. These words spoken by Jesus 2000 years ago are as relevant today as they were then. So, let us not worry. Let us pray instead.

Let us focus on God instead of the world around us

Today’s post is the third and final post in a series encouraging us to spend less time focused on the news and our financial accounts and more time focusing on God. Again, I am not suggesting we should be ostriches, but I am suggesting we shift our focus to God and to our Savior, Jesus Christ.

God knows everything, and He isn’t worried

My dear Readers, know this . . . God knows everything that has happened and everything that will happen, AND as my friend, Carolyne, always says, “God knows, and He isn’t sitting on His throne wringing His hands over this,” or anything else. God is not worried; so, we do not need to worry.

Keep your eyes on Jesus instead of problems around you

Let not your hearts be troubled. It is going to be ok. There may be stormy seas ahead, but just like Peter when he walked on the water to Jesus, keep your eyes on Jesus and God, and it will all be ok.

Pray instead of worrying; God will care for us

Know that I am not judging anyone’s faith right now. Some days, worry wants to crowd out my prayers. I just keep praying and reminding myself that God loves me and my daughter. He is going to take care of us.

God loves you too. Pray, and ask Him to take care of you and give you wisdom in all things, and remember Jesus’s words from Matthew 6:26-34. He reminded the disciples that God takes care of the little things in the world — things like the birds, flowers, and grass. He tells the disciples to have faith because they are even more important to God than the birds of the air and the flowers in the fields.

Let not your heart be troubled

Let not your heart be troubled. It is going to be ok.

It IS going to be ok, BUT if we are going to face adversity, and we all may very well face adversity, let us do it in a “prayed up” manner. Pray instead of worrying. Let us prepare our hearts and minds by connecting now with our God and Savior.

Pray now

Have you prayed yet today? Talk to God now. Ask Him to take care of you. Ask Him to give you wisdom beyond your measure in all matters, and remember to thank Him for all the ways in which He has already blessed you.

    1. Hi Sharon, I am blessed to “know” you, a prayer warrior, Sharon. Fervent prayer is a commitment and can be hard work. Thank you for being a prayer warrior. If you have time, please keep me and my daughter in your prayers. I hesitate to ask that of a prayer warrior because it is a big request that feels selfish. So many people need prayer. Thank you again for praying, and thank you for reading my posts. Please stay in touch. If you are willing, please put your state or country after your name because it helps me remember you. Blessings, Robyn
