Praying for You
Praying for You
Today I pray for you
a heart free of sadness
a mind free of worries
a life full of gladness
a body free of illness and
a day full of God’s blessing.
Tonight, as I sit down to my laptop with my favorite cup of tea to write tomorrow morning’s post, everything seems quiet and still — especially compared to my day today . . . I think one can never really understand how big a 40′ x 80′ equipment barn can be until one attempts to organize and empty it . . . alone.
I don’t really mind working on it alone, but the job is enormous. (I am not trying to guilt any family members into helping me here). Who else, besides me, is going to know what to do with all that stuff? I have to make those decisions now, and my mind is busy, thinking and deciding, most every moment as I continue preparing to sell my farm.
So, now at 10:30pm, as I draft my words to you that will post tomorrow morning at 5:30, in the quiet, stillness of the night, I have an overwhelming desire to pray for all of you. Each one of you has “something” going on in your life.
Maybe you have excitement on your horizon . . . a new baby, a child going off to college, or a big move. Maybe you have some difficult event in your foreseeable future . . . a job layoff, a medical procedure, a terminally ill loved one . . . or maybe you are terminally ill and getting ready to leave this world for your eternity.
Some of you have written to me throughout the last several months since I started blogging in April, and you have asked me to pray for you. I consider it an honor to pray for each of you, and I appreciate your notes, and many of you stay on my mind and in my prayers for weeks and months after your request.
So, as I encourage each of you to pray, please know that I keep you, all of you, in my prayers — sometimes by name but always as my readers. Even if I do not know your name, our God does know your name, and He hears my prayers for you.
Blessings,
Robyn.
