Psalm 55:17
Evening, morning, and at noon . . .
Psalm 55:17
Evening, morning, and at noon, I will cry out in distress. He will hear my voice.
I love the Psalms because the Psalmist gives wings to my words especially when I am feeling stressed or anxious or afraid. Many of us are going through difficult circumstances during these unprecedented days of pandemic. Some of us have lost our jobs; others of us have lost family members; most of us have lost our daily routines — which by nature usually bring comfort.
This verse from the Psalms comforts me because it emphasizes that we can pray all the time . . . evening, morning, and at noon . . . and not only can we pray . . . He will hear our voices.
Whatever is on your mind . . . whether it is financial stress from losing your job or having increased medical expenses or whether it is perhaps relationship stress from spending too much or too little time together . . . take a moment now, and talk to Him about your stress. Wherever you are and whatever time it is, He will hear your voice. He will hear your prayer.
