God Has Not Passed Us By
God Has Not Passed Us By
Has God forgotten us?
“You may fear that the Lord has passed you by, but it is not so; He Who counts the stars, and calls them by their names, is in no danger of forgetting His own children.” Charles Spurgeon.
Does anyone feel like God has forgotten him or her? Created and cast aside?
When we are tempted to think God doesn’t care about the “little things” going on in our lives, let us remember that God not only knows us by name, but He knows every bump in the road of our lives. He knows the details of our existence. He even knows the exact number of hairs on our heads at any given moment. Luke 12:7.
Some of us may feel that even though God knows us through and through, He still isn’t hearing our prayers.
Ok. As many times as I have written that God hears our prayers, we do need to acknowledge that sometimes He does not.
The Bible tells us, “Now we know that God heareth not sinners; but if any {wo}man be a worshipper of God, and doeth His will, him {her} He heareth.” John 9:31 KJV.
God does know, and God does care, but if we are feeling unheard by God, let us ask ourselves if we have any unconfessed sin in our hearts. If not, then our feelings of being cast aside are likely deceptive; however, if our answer is yes that we do have unconfessed sin, then our feelings of being unheard may be valid, and we need to confess our sin and uproot any evil thoughts or ways that we may be harboring in our hearts and lives.
These are difficult times, dear Readers. I want to encourage us to pray, and I want nothing more than for all of our prayers to be heard. Let us banish any sin that may be blocking our communication with God.
God will never turn a deaf ear to our confessions or our requests for forgiveness.
